Your Liver: What You Must Know to Improve Your Health Today!

Does your liver and gallbladder need restoration? There are deadly consequences for not caring for these vital organs. Read on to learn more.

Do you have chronic emotional or physical health issues? If you do, please listen closely because your liver is likely trying to tell you something. It is probably choking on toxic compounds that are jammed within deposits of hardened bile. Most health ailments and premature aging are very closely linked to a person having degenerated liver performance, which is hard to detect in a normal blood test.

The liver’s main job is to filter the blood coming from the digestive tract, before passing it to the rest of the body. The liver also detoxifies chemicals and metabolizes drugs. As it does so, the liver secretes bile that ends up back in the intestines. The liver also makes proteins important for blood clotting and other functions.1 Obstructing these vital functions affects the health of every single cell which effects the entire body’s performance. If the livers bile ducts are congested with deposits of hardened bile, gallstones will form. Gallstones can be formed by many different factors: the modern fast pace of living, stress, imbalanced diets, disruptive lifestyles, use of medical drugs, stimulants and alcohol, and ingestion of chemical poisons, such as food additives and artificial sweeteners. Bile duct congestion results in major impairment of digestive functions, thereby reducing the nutrient supply to the trillions of cells in the body. This makes gallstones in the liver a major cause of physical and emotional illness.2

When there is a blockage in the bile ducts of the liver, this causes they body to have to work that much harder to properly convert the food you digest to the energy your body needs to function well. When the body is unable to adequately process food for energy, it can lead to feelings of distress, including anger, depression, fear, impatience, and eventually dis-ease. Purging the liver of barriers and toxins will ultimately rebuild stability, strength and happiness in every aspect of your life physically and emotionally.

So, how do you know when your liver needs to be cleansed? This is a tough question because the liver never really tells you when it is upset or needs special focus. It will let you know when it starts to perform poorly by expressing any of the following symptoms:

The most common cause of illness is gallstones in the liver. About a million new cases of gallstones are diagnosed in the U.S. each year. For reasons that are still unclear, women are two times more likely than men to be affected.5 In the majority of these cases, treatment involves the removing of the gallbladder. The average cost for a gallbladder surgery in the United States is $24,000,6 with little or no concern to what actually cause the gallstones. This is a high price to pay for knowing how to prevent these types of emergencies. Every person suffering from heart disease, arthritis, MS, cancer or diabetes has hundreds, if not thousands, of gallstones blocking the bile ducts of their liver. The presence of gallstones in the liver is the main impediment to acquiring and maintaining good health, youthfulness and vitality. Gallstones are, in fact, one of the major reasons people become ill and have difficulty recuperating from illness.7

You are probably asking yourself, why is there only little recognition to the incidence of gallstones in the liver? This breakdown to identify the frequency of gallstone development in the liver is undoubtedly one of the most unfortunate oversights that has ever been made. The majority of people who have had liver congestion usually have perfectly normal liver enzyme blood levels. This is because liver enzyme levels only become elevated when there is progressive liver cell damage, such as hepatitis. Liver cells contain large amounts of enzymes. When ruptured, the enzymes enter the blood and signal liver abnormalities. By then, however, the damage has already occurred. It takes many years of liver bile duct congestion before such an event becomes possible.8

Here are Thrive Health, we are familiar with several trusted solutions to help you get your health back to optimum. First, we offer a product called TudcaPlus, formulated by Cellcore Biosciences. Tauroursodeoxycholic acid, or TUDCA for short, is a natural component of your bile that boasts a long list of potential health benefits all by itself. But combine it with other synergistic compounds, and its perks are multiplied.

The combination of TUDCA, melatonin, and NAC, help increase the flow of bile, so toxins aren’t remaining stagnant in the liver to cause damage. They also assist in protecting liver cells to combat mitochondrial stress. It also helps to prevent the accumulation of fat in the liver. Together, these ingredients help to lower systemic inflammation and prevent free radical damage by encouraging your body to produce more glutathione and other antioxidants.
This product also works to enhance your digestive and microbiome health by helping protect the gut wall from damage and aid in reducing “leaky gut” syndrome. It can help regulate gut motility and calm inflammation in the GI tract.

Second, we like to encourage doing coffee enemas. An unhealthy colon causes the build-up of waste, and that waste build up creates an environment for toxins and intestinal parasites to stay in the body. Coffee Enema is a therapy that can be done in-home to flush out waste and toxins from the colon and ultimately restore colon function.

Alternative therapies for cleaning out the colon need to be performed by a medical professional, and unlike a coffee enema, they don’t offer the added benefit of supporting liver detox. Coffee contains caffeine and antioxidants that increase natural detox in the body. The main reason coffee enemas are so effective is that coffee contains palmitic acid. Palmitates stimulate the production of an enzyme in the liver called glutathione and transferase that makes glutathione, an antioxidant that boosts the immune system and aids in detoxification.

Always consult a health professional before incorporating a new health protocol, but for most people, coffee enemas are safe to do once a week. For those who are health challenged, we usually start incorporating coffee enemas two-three times a week. A coffee enema will mobilize a lot of toxins. It’s critical to use binders before and after the coffee enema to prevent re-circulation.

One more solution we use with our clients is castor oil packs. In addition to improving liver function, castor oil packs can also relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and to improve digestion. Castor oil packs are used outside your body, and with or without heat. Castor oil packs are typically made by soaking a piece of flannel or wool in castor oil and placing it directly on your right abdomen. The fabric is then covered with a sheet of plastic, and then a hot water bottle or pad is placed over the plastic to heat the pack for at least 20 minutes. It is then absorbed through the skin into the tissues below. The heat applied helps to push the castor oil into the deeper layers promoting healing.

Finally, sustaining a balanced diet and lifestyle will allow the liver and gallbladder to restore to their natural state. Over time, using these tools will help most symptoms of discomfort or disease in the body begin to diminish. There is not one part of the body that doesn’t benefit from liver cleansing. Cleansing the liver bile ducts from an overload of gallstones is one of the most essential and powerful practices to improve your total health!
